For Monday I went to ten pin bowling and we had two rounds we had a lot of fun there.

For Tuesday me and a few others went on a photography trip around town and took pictures of specif things we had on our lists.

For Wednesday I did cooking with Ali and my Mum she came and helped out I made pizza.

For Thursday the class went to jellie park and got sun burnt.

Today for adventure week, me and a few others went on a trip around town to look for certain sculptures pictures etc. we were in a group of 4, we had a clip board with a piece of paper that had what we had to spot on the way.

Term 4 Christmas Disco

Fundraiser, Dogwatch Sanctuary Trust

On Friday 29th November we had a disco at school it was Christmas themed and we had been planning for weeks and we had some times when we didn't agree with each other and what we should get and sell. But we got through all of that and decided on have lolly bags, glow sticks and juice boxes.

At this stage we have to count how much gold coin donations we got and also how many donations of dog food. Then we have to email Dogwatch and ask which day we can come visit and give them the dog food.

Today we made a collage out of multiple images. Watch out for bats! you might go batty.

For this Sci-fi Roller coaster trip you had better wear your togs! This is a roller coaster trip that has opening hours from 9 pm to 4 am (it has to be dark).These past weeks we have been creating a sci-fi rollercoaster. We used three themes, star wars, alien invasion and space robots. You go through the robot then take a trip to the death star. Then you head to the UFO that has glass inside of it filled with water. When you go through it, it’s like an aquarium with a squid. At the end the end of the ride the roller coaster drops away and you fall into a pool.

Sharing My Knowledge Of Bar Graphs

Over the last few weeks we have been learning about bar graphs.
I learnt that bar graphs have, titles, bars, labels, there are horizontal
and vertical labels, x axis and y axis.  We have been working independently

My Minecraft Dream Whare...

A couple of days ago me and Holly, and a few others got picked to do a Minecraft Challenge Day

we we're told to design our dream house/whare. This is a photo of the outside and a photo taken of the kitchen. 

We ended up changing the outside of our house including it with a pond, roller coaster and out the back we made a tree stump to give it more "depth" and detail, there is now a book case at the front of the whare it was very fun.  I really enjoyed it we had to make a few changes, due to either feedback, or to make the house aesthetically pleasing, or because of features that didn't work, like the panda habitat.

Today I read an article about migrants,the main reason for the shift to the other side of the world was Fabios job six months later his children and his wife moved here.

Fabio says that among his biggest fears about the shift was experiencing weeks of delays and frustration with setting up accounts. The good things were the preschool education,they helped his wife rewrite her CV in New Zealand style, and providing the family with a nice view.

If I was to move to another country, I would probably choose china the good things about the move would be that I can speak mandarin and also that, it looks like a nice place to live, the negative things to go there would be transferring all the money into yen and finding my way around.

Reflection On Rotations

Today at school we did a rotation workshop. In the morning, we wrote our names on a sheet, we got to choose out of A, B and C. me, and my friends all choose to go in B.

The first workshop we went to was with Nogo, we learnt some Te Reo and later on we are going to learn another language.

Then with Julie we went to the other workshop were we learnt about acting and played acting games.

With Sharon we watched a movie, but every time somebody said my we wrote down the word after my. I got 15.

What We Have Been Learning

What we have been doing for the last couple of weeks

This week we have been learning to use google forms and creating a pick a path story
and using images to intrigue people and also using more describing words.

While it was MILO'S I created a sumo paint drawing it is an underwater sea with fishes and seaweed

How to keep our oceans clean and safe for marine life

This article is going to inform you about how birds are getting affected and
what's happening to the ocean.

The most effective way oil affects birds is by coating their feathers in greasy,
sticky, greasy slime when it goes on their wings it affects their lining of birds
feathers and they also make it harder for the birds to fly because of all the gunk
on their wings.

The oils spills are affecting the birds that are particularly to diving birds
that spend a great deal of time on the surface of the water where the oil
sits.

Oil has more impacts on birds than just coating their feathers.
An area subjected to a large oil spill can become uninhabitable for the birds
as food supplies are gradually killed off from the toxic poisons,
and oil coating nesting areas destroy critical habitat.

My opinion

My opinion on the oil spill is that it is sad that the ocean pollution

And oil spills are affecting the marine pollution and our oceans here
are some ways you can help here are

How to prevent it

            1,Be careful with what you do with the plastic and where it goes.

2,Don’t let your plastic bags fly away into the ocean.

            3,Pick up after your pets.

            4,Instead of using plastic bags use reusable bags.

Manaiakalani - Sumopaint

Today, with manaiakalani we got to draw an image of anything we wanted

to, I drew a sunset with some scenery

Technology Center

Every thursdays we go to technology we get to do two activities
like cooking, sewing, digi tech, and other fun stuff we can learn
skills from.

For technology I have been doing cooking and wood work in
cooking our teacher ms Lee has been teaching us to make
bread related products for the last three weeks. And in wood
work I have been working on a picture frame to keep photos in.

Library Trip

Library Trip

On Tuesday 5th Me, and a few others went on a Library trip.

As I walked through the library starting at the top and working my way down. As I started at the
top Sharon showed me and my friends a room that had some really cool stuff that you can build
with such as, a 3D printer, a wood cutter and some really cool designs the 3D printer stood out
to me the most they had some designs of the 3D printer out on a table and my favorite
was the green dinosaur that you could move the tail and body.

Me, Luke, and Holly found a little mini version of noughts and crosses out of wood and we
versed each other till one of us won and I saw some cool wood designs of chinese
year of the pig box. And I also saw a pencil holder a box that had some really nice designs
on it and also a puzzle that looked unique and had its own different style on it.

They had a lego station I had ago about testing how good my lego skills we’re I just made
something little because eventually it was going to be deconstructed.

Overall It was a nice trip to go roam around the library and see some really cool stuff and
see what books and activities they had to offer

Milos - Drawing

MILOS

This week for MILOS I have been learning to further increase
my drawing skills I am specifically been focusing on animals,
Birds, Cats, Foxs, etc and I am going to do some Illustrations
for my animals and once I have finished them I am going to
improve them/color them.

Comparing texts

In Tangaroas fingernails story they have an oil spill in the ocean and they

blocked it with Tangaroas fingernails because if they didn’t block it it could harm

the ocean.

In the Mexicos gulf there was an oil spill and it got filled up

with the oil and they tried  blocking it by using golf balls, mud, fabric and even

human hair and u.s president Barack Obama sent a bill for $69 - million to BP

to cover the the initial cost responding to the bill.

Author´s purpose

That pollution is bad and that it can harm wildlife and that it could kill us if

the fish we eat have plastic bags in them and that its

contaminating our oceans.
