Comparing texts And Author´s purpose

Comparing texts
In Tangaroas fingernails story they have an oil spill in the ocean and they
blocked it with Tangaroas fingernails because if they didn’t block it it could harm
the ocean.
In the Mexicos gulf there was an oil spill and it got filled up
with the oil and they tried  blocking it by using golf balls, mud, fabric and even
human hair and u.s president Barack Obama sent a bill for $69 - million to BP
to cover the the initial cost responding to the bill.

Author´s purpose
That pollution is bad and that it can harm wildlife and that it could kill us if
the fish we eat have plastic bags in them and that its
contaminating our oceans.

    Hi Riley, thanks for sharing your work. I like that you have identified a common theme between the two texts - the oil spill. You have given interesting details about the way the oil spill's were blocked up. Next time I'd love to see you add a personal opinion.
